This stunning celtic wedding ring was inspired by the beautiful illuminated Gospel of Kells from the late 8th century, the celtic knot work of this ring symbolises continuity making it a meaningful addition to a newly-wed couple.
The pattern of intertwining cords and interlace is derived from Eastern and Celtic art. The design passed into the repertoire of British and Irish art from the 6th to 9th Century.This interlace design is found on metal work and sculptured stone as well as in illuminated Gospel Books.
